I never thought I'd see the day where *I* looked like an uncaring parent because my kid gets vaccinated. There are some kids who have legitimately experienced adverse effects from vaccines - and those numbers are comparable to adverse effects from any other medication or medical procedure. But there are so many other things in this world that could contribute to conditions like autism that it is impossible to specifically isolate vaccines as the cause.

See -- this is the result of a vicious circle where scientists investigate the possibility of a danger. The media gets wind of the investigation and assumes that, if there is an investigation of a possible danger, that must mean that there is an ACTUAL danger. Your average person who reads the media then assumes that the media is correct and that there is an ACTUAL danger. The average people then pressure lawmaking bodies to regulate against the potentially dangerous substance, even though it is not conclusively dangerous. Then the regulations against the substance prove to people that the substance is dangerous because it wouldn't be regulated unless it was dangerous, right? Ad nauseam. So frustrating.
